Man Utd, Arsenal and the unpredictable trip (Part 2)

Callum Chambers, Tierney and Cedric Soares continue to be absent. And Olympiacos is without striker Hilal Soudani until the end of the season because of a knee injury.

This is the first match of coach Mikel Arsenal in the Europa League – the arena that Arsenal has advanced in the last two seasons. In the 2017-2018 season, they reached the semi-finals and only stopped in front of the Atletico Madrid champion.

Last year, Arsenal reached the final but lost to Chelsea 1-4. Like Man Utd, Arsenal can aim to win the Europa League this season, to qualify for the Champions League 2020-2021. If the Greek team is defeated, Arsenal will set an English football record with 23 wins in the Europa League.

Just like Man Utd and Arsenal, Inter is tense in many arenas. They were just beaten to the top of Serie A last weekend, after losing to Lazio. But with quite a force, coach Antonio Conte can still launch a squad strong enough to overcome host Ludogorets. Victor Moses, Christian Eriksen, Alexis Sanchez or Christian Biraghi all have to prepare in the defeat to Lazio.

Inter defenders Claudiu Keseru – the Romanian striker scored four goals in the group stage. Keseru is backed by a trio of speedy attacking midfielders Jody Lukoki, Marcelinho and Wanderson. This is the first time the two teams encounter. Both prefer fast-paced gameplay and will create high-speed matches.

Ludogorets has never touched Inter, but they have compared with Milan 2017-2018 season. At that time, the Bulgarian representative lost both matches. Of the 24 teams that have qualified for the Europa League group stage this season, none conceded more than Ludogorets. This is an opportunity for Romelu Lukaku or Lautaro Martinez to explore the opponent’s defense.

In the round of 16 of the Europa League, there are many notable pairs like Getafe – Ajax, Leverkusen – Porto, Roma – Gent or Wolverhampton – Espanyol.
